L³ for Lucy, Luke, and Liam.
A solo jewelry practice in Phoenix, Arizona. I source the stones, cut them on my bench, set them in sterling, and send the work to the shops that carry me.
L³ Designs is a solo handmade turquoise jewelry practice based in the Phoenix metro. The work is bolo ties, rings, pendants, and cuffs in the Southwestern idiom — rope bezels, beaded edges, silver feathers, and brass twists alongside sterling.
Rockhounding came first; I wanted to make something out of what I was finding in the field. I took a weekend silversmithing intensive to learn the metal work and taught myself how to cut and shape stones from there.
The practice now runs end-to-end out of one bench. I source rough across three channels — what I find myself, what I buy direct from miners I've come to know, and what I get from a small set of peer artists — and from there I cut and shape every cabochon on a CabKing wheel, fabricate the silver, set the stone, and finish the piece.
The brand carries the names of my three children: Lucy, Luke, and Liam. The L³ is for them.

Four of the turquoise sources feeding the practice are mine-pedigreed — direct relationships with the operations that pull the stone out of the ground.

Esmeralda Turquoise Co. · Nevada
One of the classic turquoise mines of the Southwest, with decades of working history. Stone moves directly from the mine to the bench.

Tonopah, Nevada
A working mine in the Royston district producing high-grade royal-blue turquoise. Sourced direct, not through wholesale.
Deep Well Designs · Nevada
Cabs sourced from a working studio with direct family lineage to the Number 8 turquoise mine — founding claim filed in 1929.
Arizona
A high-grade turquoise out of Patagonia in southern Arizona — recognized for its rich, even blue and distinctive matrix character.
Kingman Mine · Arizona · Hardy mining lineage
One of the named pits within the historic Kingman turquoise mine in northwest Arizona — sourced through a direct lineage tie to the Hardy mining family. A foundational name in American turquoise.
L³ Designs is carried at three of the four urbAna locations — a small Arizona-based chain of curated home-goods, gift, and lifestyle boutiques.

Two paths in. Start blank, or design around what you already wear.
Tell me what you want — bolo, ring, pendant, cuff. We'll work through stone, scale, setting, and finish together. From a clean start to a piece that's yours.
Already wear a piece you love? Send a photo. I'll cut and set a new one designed to live alongside it — same stone family, complementary scale, finished to match.
Recent: Spiny Oyster pendants · Stella Blue cuff · matched-set pendant designed around a client's existing ring.
Commissions welcome. New stockists, press, and collaborations too.
